ChanceryGreen is pleased to have prepared the inaugural legal commentary on the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024 for the Thomson Reuters Westlaw New Zealand legal research database.
The Fast-track Approvals Act 2024 introduced a new consenting pathway intended to provide a more efficient process for regionally and nationally significant projects. As such, practitioners and decision-makers must navigate novel legislative provisions, processes, and considerations. Now that we are a year and a half into this framework, there is an emerging body of case law developing.
The commentary provides an overview of the Act and its operation, including key procedural aspects and decision-making considerations. It is intended to be a useful resource for practitioners working with fast-track applications.
